FormIT
 
 
FormIT offers an innovative and proven solution for distribution of information (such as invoices, customer letters and forms), via various marketing and distribution channels.

The product enables seamless assimilation of information from many different sources, thereby enabling creation of documents by means of tools and capabilities that already exist within the organization.

FormIT is a modular system based on installation of the relevant modules in accordance with needs. The system consists of three main layers:
Data Collection – A powerful integration engine which enables access to many different content sources (System, DB, files) without having to write a word of code.
Processing and Archiving – A WYSIWYG document designer. Any number of manipulations (arithmetic, string) may be performed on the data. In addition, the data can be archived as XML.
Distribution – Capability of performing and monitoring information dissemination by various distribution channels. Documents may be sent as PDF, HTML, or plain text. The documents are sent through a variety of channels (such as email, fax, iPost and SMS) .

How FormIT Works:
• FormIT provides an end-to-end solution, and its modular design allows customers to acquire only the required modules.
• Integration: FormIT can connect with many different systems, via Informatica. The integration service assimilates data from different sources and can perform many types of data manipulation.
• Distribution channels: FormIT enables distribution of documents by various distribution channels (e.g. email, printing, fax, SMS). It is possible to check the validity of the channels and control the send rate.
• Single source: The product allows construction of a single document (archived as XML) which can then be produced and distributed in various ways.
• Marketing Platform: The documents can be personalized (based on customer rules).
• FormIT exposes many Web Service APIs which allow access of customer service representatives and subscribed customers to the documents.
• Archived documents may be redisplayed in exactly the same format at any future time. It is also possible to create new templates in order to display the old information in a new format.
• FormIT is quite able to handle even very large documents, and multiple online document creation requests.
• Documents may contain an internal index, allowing fast and efficient internal navigation.


FormIT capabilities:

BatchIT (Data Integration and Processing):
This module is responsible for collection, processing and conversion of data. The FormIT engine enables streaming of raw data from virtually any source and in any format, including flat files, relational data base tables and mainframe systems. Together with the streaming it is possible to perform a wide variety of conversions, aggregations, and other transformations.

DesignIT (Document Design and Styling):
This module is used to design the form and style of the final document. It utilizes a simple WYSIWYG drag-and-drop interface to design the document format, and enables as well setting styling parameters such as font, color, size, etc. In addition, previous versions of the document design are archived in the system.

ORM (Object Rule Manager):
This module is used to manage external objects (images or fixed text) which are to be added to the documents. It supports both rule-based (for example, total bill of a certain amount) and list-based (for example, an ad added to the document in different languages, based on the particular sector to which the customers belong) insertion of the objects.


Pagination:
This module is responsible for defining the pagination of the document. Pagination is needed in cases where data in the document spreads onto more than one physical page, or when data is to be duplicated on more than one page.


Document Warehouse (ArchiveIT):
This module enables consists of an archive of created documents, and enables accessing them based on various parameters (document type (PDF, HTML), or various other identifying parameters).

PDF Online:
This module is intended primarily for customer service representatives or producers of dynamic online output. It enables creating a PDF document in real time according to particular requirements (e.g. a service representative producing a form on the fly for a customer's signature).

Business Process Module:
This module leverages the abilities of the Informatica Orchestration to provide form management capabilities. This module is built by demand in accordance with the particular needs of the customer.


Dynamic Document Activity:
This module handles creating documents (PDF or HTML) containing interactive form elements, and enables proper assimilation of the user feedback. This enables the end-user to directly update customer details, submit orders, and basically any other online operation.


SendIT:
This module enables distribution of documents via various channels. The most common distribution channels are: email, iPost, fax and SMS. The module allows:

• Controlling the rate of sending messages, in order to avoid being identified as a spammer.
• Reporting of bounced messages.
• Retry rules management – enabling automatic resend in case of bounce.
• Creating a report with the results of the distribution.
